One of the occupational hazards of being rich and famous is the scrutiny, real or imagined, that surrounds your personal life…
Well, we can confidently bust one bogus claim in particular…Mel Gibson’s girlfriend Rosalind Ross is NOT pregnant with the actor’s baby, despite a made-up tabloid report.
Earlier in the summer the National Enquirer insisted it had the inside scoop on a pending baby bump from Mel’s young girlfriend.The tabloid rag claimed Gibson, 60, was all set to become a dad for the ninth time, having impregnated his 25-year-old girlfriend.
A so-called “source” tells the tabloid, “They only just found out, and they’re not planning on making any announcements for a few weeks, if at all.” The magazine’s dubious insider further claimed, “Mel’s ready to do the honorable thing and make Rosey his pregnant bride.”
Problem is the claim is bunk.
Mel has not impregnated a woman younger than some of his existing children…not yet at least.
A rep for Gibson adamantly assures us that Mel’s girlfriend isn’t preggers with a mini Mad Max, and the actor has most certainly not proposed to her.
So score yet another Pinocchio for the National Enquirer, a tabloid so unreliable that it has already had to previously back track its unfounded claim that Mel was in hot pursuit of Katie Holmes as a romantic partner.
Mel has been far too busy plotting his directorial comeback to be knocking up any millennials out of wedlock…that’s for the after party.
