The NFL’s most eligible bachelor may finally be ready to settle down and live the married life. Reports claim that the Green Bay Packers’ star quarterback has popped the question to his longtime girlfriend, actress Olivia Munn.
The couple became an item back in 2014, and the gridiron icon and film actress have been in and out of tabloid headlines for their romance ever since. Rodgers reportedly asked Olivia’s family for approval before proceeding with a proposal, a sweet and gentlemanly gesture that further endeared him to his soon to be in-laws.
The pending union will cause some to rejoice and others to gnash their teeth, as ESPN reporter Rob Demovsky and some fans have even gone so far as to accuse Olivia of being a distraction to Aaron during the football season, blaming her for his on the field struggles.
Which was a notion that infuriated Munn to the point she fired back on social media in response to what she deemed irresponsible and speculative “journalism”.
One thing is for certain, Aaron Rodgers deems Olivia a lucky charm and not a jinx.
The actress has even fielded awkward questions in the past about their love life, but has assured everyone that she keeps her distractions to a minimal on game day. The couple plan to wed in Rodgers’ hometown of Chico, California, date undetermined…but we’ll be sure to let you know when they figure it out.
Needless to say, it’s a humorous pairing, considering that Olivia was clueless about who Aaron Rodgers even was when they first met. But we hope the two have gotten to know each other sufficiently since that fateful meeting, their courtship has been the stuff of dreams for tabloid gossips, and we hope they keep delivering the goods as a power couple for years to come.
