The ‘Lethal Weapon’ Reboot Trailer Has Dropped

29 years ago a ground breaking buddy cop movie burst on to the silver screen and turned a 31-year-old American born actor that was raised in Australia into a full blown movie star…his name was Mel Gisbon, and his role as Martin Riggs in the film ‘Lethal Weapon’ was career defining, granting the handsome actor instant leading man status in Hollywood.

But that was 1987, flash forward nearly three full decades and Hollywood’s reboot/ remake craze of nostalgic 1980s film properties has decided to try and reinvent the wheel by updating ‘Lethal Weapon’ for a new generation…but without Mel Gibson carrying the movie it remains to be seen if it’s even worth the effort…

It ain’t easy replacing legends and the iconic roles they embodied, and actors Clayne Crawford and Damon Wayans have some mighty big shoes to fill if they want to match the chemistry and star power of Mel Gibson and Danny Glover.

Frankly, when it comes to bad remakes of beloved 80s properties, audiences may be getting too old for this sh*t…
