The Man of Steel and his real-life Lois Lane have reportedly split. Henry Cavill is now moving on and looking for a new damsel in distress…because a younger woman just moved out of his Fortress of Solitude…
Cavill, 33 and his now ex-girlfriend Tara King, 19, proved critics wrong when they decided to make their relationship official back in October 2015. It wasn’t a well-received romance at first given the huge age gap, but the couple took the risk and dove in head first.
Just three months ago, Cavill was gushing over King in an interview with Elle when he said:
“People say age is just a number. It’s actually a real and true sign of someone’s maturity. But in this case, she’s fantastic.”
In March, he spoke to Mirror UK and only uttered praises for King. The movie super hero even described her as his protector.
“She protects me and is protective of me when I am having a hard time. She’s there when I need looking after and the world is a little too heavy. Then she will happily take that weight for me and make sure I am OK. Tara allows me to be me and doesn’t have a problem with that. She treats me like a normal human being.”
It was good while it lasted, but right now rumors point to Cavill being the one who broke off the relationship with King. According to various reports, Cavill and King are just completely at a different point in their lives right now. Cavill is at the height of his career while King is just starting college.
King told her friends about the split and one of those “friends” told Page Six about the breakup. “Henry and Tara have split—it is official” the source leaked.
The source continued to say that Cavill said that he and King can stay friends, but the relationship has gone the way of Krypton…
