Pippa Middleton is officially off the market!
The Duchess of Cambridge’s younger sister confirmed her engagement to her millionaire boyfriend James Matthews through an official Kensington Palace spokesperson.
“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are absolutely delighted with the news,” the Palace gleefully confirmed to the media.
Middleton’s father, Michael Middleton, seemed happy to give away his daughter to another man when he told the BBC, “They make a wonderful couple and we wish them every happiness together.”
Matthews, who runs the British hedge fund Eden Rock Capital Management, popped the question on Sunday in England’s Lake District.
“I would say she’s the lucky one,” a source told the Daily Mail. “He’s one hell of a catch.”
We think that was the source’s code word for “loaded”…
Matthews and Middleton first started dating in 2012. Kate even recently broke off an on again/ off again affair with a long time flame back in October…only to quickly retreat back into James’ waiting arms.
Reports thus far indicate that the 40 year old playboy asked Middleton’s father for her hand in marriage prior to the proposal and that the wedding will most likely take place next year.
Middleton, the 32 year old socialite sister to the Duchess of Cambridge, has been a fashion icon ever since almost upstaging her sister’s dress at her own royal wedding…
And now, she finally seems to have captured a prince of her own…
