While the whole world is talking about the Kanye West–Kim Kardashian–Taylor Swift drama, Taylor and her legal reps are contemplating filing a police report against the celebrity power couple.
TMZ broke the news that Taylor is planning to take legal action against Kanye, for illegally recording the phone conversation he had with her… and Kim is on the hook for publicly releasing the video without comnsent. However, sources also claim that Taylor is still undecided about what action should be taken legally in response to the leak.

Evidence seems to suggest that Taylor in actuality already knew that the recording existed. In fact, Taylor’s attorney previously sent Kanye a letter to destroy the tape. Part of the letter said:
“Demand is hereby made that you immediately destroy all such recordings, provide us of assurance that this has been done, and also assurance that these recordings have not been previously disseminated.”
Did Kanye and Kim defy legal notice not to act, and were they stupid enough to thnik they may be able to do so with impunity? Not in a million years.
Apparently, Taylor’s claim has no basis because she knew she was being recorded. The thing is, in California, it becomes a crime when the other party in the conversation doesn’t know he/she is being recorded. However, this doesn’t include phone calls that “may be overheard” and Taylor knew others were listening in, TMZ explained.
Proof? During the phone call, the video showed Rick Rubin, Kanye’s legendary producer, speaking up a number of times during the phone call. Even the crew filming Kanye at the time can hear her speak.
Hence, Taylor cannot file a police report against Kanye and Kim…unless she finds another way to extract her revenge!
