“Comedian” Amy Schumer found herself entangled in a sexual assault scandal that has quickly forced her to distance herself from one of her favorite joke writers…
On Wednesday (Aug. 17), the Inside Amy Schumer star blocked Twitter users who tweeted her about her dismissed former writer Kurt Metzger and said she was “saddened and disappointed” by his recent tasteless comments.
She referred to him as her friend, but clarified that he no longer works for her, stressing, “His words are not mine.”...to be fair she claimed that about almost everything he wrote for her, but I digress…

Schumer’s tweets came in response to users who were asking her why she would employ a man like Metzger given his recent rants that mock women for calling out alleged rapists.
To which we can’t help but think aloud, have you seen Schumer’s stand up act? She’s about as dirty, inappropriate, raunchy, and sexually explicit as they come…she pushes the envelope, it’s what she does, it’s no surprise one of her writer’s has the same irreverent sensibility.
Over the weekend, Metzger unleashed a series of Facebook and Twitter posts over NYC comedian Aaron Glaser, an Upright Citizens Brigade performer who was allegedly banned from the famed improv theatre after multiple women alleged that he had raped them.
Metzger quickly came to alleged rapist friend’s defense on Saturday and has been posting and sharing stories covering the saga in a steady stream on his social media.
Metzger has been called out for his misogynistic comments in the past. After saying he was “pro-rape” in a previous interview, among other things, two female writers accused him of an online harassment campaign…truly, funny stuff…
