What could’ve been comedian Amy Schumer‘s most romantic trip ever turned out to be one of her worst…
Together with her date Ben Hanisch, Amy found herself sick out of her mind on Monday night, which later confined her to a French hospital bed due to food poisoning.
While her Instagram followers thought that Amy was having a blast sightseeing in the most romantic city in the world, her subsequent post about her illness came as a surprise. Amy posted a photo with Ben and they’re both lying down on the bed. She captioned the post:

Followers sent her well-wishes, but her situation wasn’t getting any better. She posted a video sipping soup with the Eiffel Tower in the background and captioned it, “Trying to eat chicken broth post puke fest.”
Later, Amy was seen nestled down in a hospital bed a little bit worse for wear. To make light of the situation or perhaps, kill time while at the hospital, Amy made a parody dating video, which Ben shot. The video captured the perfect irreverent tone, as got into character:
“Hi. OK, this is my first time making one of these videos, but, you know, it’s a new time. My name is Amy. I’m 35. I love just grabbing life by its horns and experiencing everything. I love music and food. I really just want someone to share all of that with. So, I’m taking a chance.”

The video is especially funny when you learn that Amy and Ben actually met through a dating app. After just 40 minutes of creating her profile, she found her match made in heaven. And since January 2016, the couple have been inseparable.
