The fallout from the Brangelina divorce saga has been immense and never ending in recent days.
From Angelina Jolie‘s private eyes finding evidence of infidelity, to rumors of Brad’s drug binging, to the shocking revelation he’s suspected of impregnating his co-star Marion Cotillard, tis’ not a good week to be in Brad Pitt‘s shoes…
And now the beleaguered actor has just been hit with the most stunning accusation to date, allegations of CHILD ABUSE, which the LAPD are taking very seriously and investigating at the behest of Brad’s estranged wife, Angelina.
Sources close to the splitting couple tell us that Brad and Angelina, were on a private jet with their kids last Wednesday, when Pitt allegedly got wasted and unnerved the entire jet with his antics. He allegedly went wild, screaming and getting physical with the kids.
We’re told the plane landed at an airport around 8 PM, and witnesses say Pitt continued his rant on the tarmac, and was so incoherent that he even tried leaving in one of the fuel trucks.
Someone either on the plane or the tarmac “anonymously” (wink, wink Angelina) reported the incident to the L.A. County Dept. of Children and Family Services. Brad and Angelina have already reportedly been interviewed and DCFS plans to interview the kids as well to follow up further. The investigation is ongoing and still very much wide open.
Specifics haven’t been leaked to the public, but the LAPD doesn’t mess around with allegations as grave as child abuse, and due diligence to find out the truth is under way.
The alleged verbal and physical abuse was apparently the last straw for Angelina, a source confides, and she filed for divorce this week in response.
A source close to the Brad Pitt camp was in denial about the incident, but that’s for the police to find out…
UPDATE: The FBI has stepped in and is now reviewing the case, suggesting the serious allegations have probable cause to investigate. Stay tuned to Celebrity Gossiper as this story develops.
