Controversial rapper Suge Knight apparently had it out for Eminem, going so far as to dispatch henchmen to try and gun down the fellow rapper.
Eminem’s former bodyguard, Byron “Big Naz” Williams dropped this unnerving truth bomb in a recent interview on the Murder Master Show. I guess any show with the word murder in the title is an apropo place to reveal that his former client’s life was put in immense danger back in 2001…
But what is mind blowing is the thuggery surrounding Death Row Records founder Suge Knight, and his alleged effort to hire “henchmen” to try and kill a rival rapper.
The supposed hit was to take place at the Source Awards, where, Williams notes, “historically…someone always got shot.”
And he has a point, murder is a time honored hip hop tradition…
It should be noted that Suge Knight cannot exactly dispute these claims, since he’s currently in jail awaiting a trial for murder and attempted murder following a hit-and-run last year, adding to his long rap sheet of criminal activity…so plotting an additional murder doesn’t exactly seem to be out of character.
It all went down like thus, according to Eminem’s former bodyguard:
“That was our first encounter with Suge Knight and his henchman. Em was going to his seat. The way they had the seating was all messed up and the bodyguards couldn’t sit with the artists. I think that was by design ’cause I think they really wanted the artists to be able to network with each other, but it also gives people who got beef with other artists to get at them.”
Critics question the full veracity of Williams’ claims, citing the fact he is indeed in the midst of trying to sell a book…but who’s to say the story isn’t true just because he had someone write it down…also who was this book written for? Do gangsta’ rap fans actually read?
