The year the music died continues, as another legend, and in this case the namesake son of an even greater legend, has left the stage.
Frank Sinatra Jr. suffered a fatal heart attack in Daytona Beach on March, 16th.
He had been scheduled to perform on the evening of his untimely death at the Peabody Auditorium.

Sinatra had cancelled his Wednesday evening show after he claimed that he felt lightheaded. He was taken to Halifax Medical Center, where according to his rep he said he was feeling much better. He suffered the catastrophic heart attack while still at the hospital, and even in the midst of medical attention expired soon after.
Sinatra Jr. was infamously kidnapped in Lake Tahoe back in 1963, when he was merely 19 years old. The ransom for his return was set at $240,000 dollars, but he was eventually found, safe and sound, walking the streets of Bel Air.
Reports plagued him for the rest of his life that the kidnapping was an attention stunt, and a hoax, but the FBI says it was the real McCoy — and the kidnappers were convicted.
Frank Jr.’s famous father Frank Sinatra died in 1998, also of a heart attack.
