Playboy patriarch Hugh Hefner has closed the deal on the sale of his iconic Playboy Mansion estate.
The buyer?
His next door neighbor…Daren Metropoulos, is in escrow to purchase the property. No one’s saying how much it’s selling for exactly … but rumor has it going for north of $100 million…
Hefner put his famed/ infamous Holmby Hills estate on the market in January with a ridiculous $200 million price tag. The buyer also had to be open to the idea of agreeing to let Hefner live there for the rest of his life…so basically any day now it should be vacant…
Daren, whose father is the eccentric billionaire C. Dean Metropoulos, bought the property next door back in 2009 for a mere $18 million. But Daren insists that he’s a huge fan of the neighborhood and preserving its history, and intends on keeping the exterior of Hefner’s home just the way it is now, iconic and timeless.
The inside is another matter, however, the super dated structure will most certainly have to be gutted and remodeled after they toss Hefner’s dead carcass out in the near future…
