The most nightmarish week imaginable has befallen movie star Johnny Depp.
First the news dropped that the 53 year old actor’s 81 year old mother, Betty Sue Palmer, had succumb to her longtime undisclosed health issues.
Then the tragic news was compounded by the fact his young starlet bride, Amber Heard, was ending their infant 15 month long marriage…citing irreconcilable differences…and now she’s seeking spousal support from the loaded thespian.
It’s not known what caused the split, but the divorce is on the fast track…and it’s not public knowledge as to whether or not any prenup had been agreed upon before the marriage to protect Johnny Depp’s vast personal fortune–one estimated to exceed $300 million.
The couple married in February last year after first romancing each other on the set of 2011’s The Rum Diary.
Depp and Heard made a now infamous video earlier in the year, where they apologized in a very bland and monotone fashion to the Australian government for having smuggled their dogs past the country’s customs and stringent animal quarantine laws while Depp was living Down Under filming the latest Pirates of the Caribbean sequel.
Come to think of it, the couple looked less than thrilled with one another as they sat side by side, perhaps a foretaste of the things that were to come…
