It is safe to say that Justin Bieber is a fan of the ink and just a few days ago, Bieber surprised his fans with a new tattoo… on his face!
Bieber showed off his new tattoo on this Instagram post that said “Resting up for the show in Philly it’s gonna be a good one mark my words.” The new ink mark wasn’t anything crazy. In fact, it was symbolic and had special meaning to the young pop singer.
There’s a good chance that Bieber got the tattoo in West 4th Tattoo Parlor in New York City before heading to Philadelphia for his show. His go-to tattoo artist Jonboy shared the meaning of Bieber’s new ink.
“Justin came in last night and decided on a small cross near the corner of his eye. It represents his journey in finding purpose with God,” Jonboy told US.
US also reported that Bieber’s close friend Joe Termini got the same tattoo that same night before Bieber did his show in Manhattan. Right now, the “Sorry” singer has more than 50 tattoos all over his body and the number isn’t dwindling down.
Just this year, Bieber had a chat with GQ Magazine about face tattoos. He said he’d consider one if he’s around his 40s or 50s. He also said “I think if they’re done right, they could be cool, but nothing super crazy all over the face.” Well lo and behold, he isn’t 40…or even 30 yet for that matter… and he’s already got one!
Bieber fans love the new ink and even the casual fans are digging it too. More than just a cute little cross, Bieber is carrying an important message with him for everyone to see.
