No doubt, the 4th of July is the best time for Americans to show off how patriotic you are. For “The Big Bang Theory” actress Kaley Cuoco, it was a day to show mad love for her dogs and America too. However, things didn’t go as planned as she was the subject of harsh on-line criticism after posting an Instagram photo on Monday.
Everyone knows Kaley is a dog lover. So last Monday, Kaley arranged a quick photo-op with the dogs wearing the red, white and blue. The dogs were so cute, but there’s something awfully wrong about the photo. All three dogs were sitting on the American flag and the internet had plenty to say about that…
Kaley was bashed and ridiculed for not knowing any better. People even questioned her love for her country. Did she actually do this to say how much she hates America? Well, Kaley has finally spoken up for herself and issued an apology for what happened. She explained that it was an honest mistake. Check out her words below:
“I would like to comment on a photo I posted yesterday, that has caused lots of controversy. First off, please know, I have the utmost respect for my country. I am a proud American in every sense of the word. I understand the American flag stands for our freedom and represents American heroes , past and present. Yesterday I made a mistake by posting the picture that was taken of my sweet dogs posing on an American flag. I sincerely apologize to anyone that has been offended by my previous post. This is no way reflects my feelings toward what the American flag represents. Living in the public eye, can be extremely difficult at times. Every mistake and every imperfection is amplified. I am not perfect. I am a proud American, today, tomorrow, always.”
Kaley might mean well but there is a cruel price to fame. Being in the public eye all the time comes with a responsibility and when it comes to one’s country, extra care must be taken. Here here Kaley, apology accepted and we still love you!
