It’s deposition time, which means that someone is gonna get grilled! And it’s Amber Heard‘s time to go through the ringer at the hands of Johnny Depp‘s legal team.
But apparently Amber was a no show at the deposition… proceedings were supposed to embark at 10 am sharp on this past Saturday, and while Amber’s lawyer Samantha Spector showed up at 10:15am, there was no sighting of the actress.
Finally, Amber dropped by for a cameo appearance around 11:30am, a tardiness that undoubtedly frustrated the court and painted her in an unfavorable light…one that favored Johnny’s lawyers every step of the way in this increasingly mean spirited divorce case.
This isn’t the first scheduled deposition for Amber either, she has actually called off depo a number of times already. However, if you’re expecting some dramatic encounter between the two quarreling former lovers, don’t hold your breath, because Johnny won’t be there.
Although Johnny has the right to be present, the lawyers on both sides opted not to mandate his presence because of the temporary restraining order…not to mention the circus the media frenzy would create if he were in the court room.
This could be a very drawn put and ugly court room battle, because despite furious legal team efforts, there have been no settlements reached by either party, meaning this dispute has run out of chances to be settled within anything other than a court of law.
Only time will tell if one of the two breaks before the judge weighs in on what he thinks should be the finale of the two’s acrimonious split…
