Fat chance anyone is getting tickets before he exits his Broadway hit…
“Hamilton’s” Lin-Manuel Miranda has set a date for his final bow from the amazingly popular Broadway show he wrote and created.
The actor/rapper’s FINAL performance will be July 9…After that, he’ll be pursuing other opportunities — and the hot property’s got plenty of those rolling in from Hollywood…particularly from Disney.
As of now, Miranda is in post-production on “Speech & Debate” and is gearing up to star in “Mary Poppins Returns,” which is slated for 2018. He’ll get the opportunity to star opposite the elegant Emily Blunt in that one, who will play the title role of Mary Poppins.

“Hamilton” has proven to not only be a Broadway game-changer and dominant Tony Award property — the musical has been nominated for 16 this year — it’s also quite clearly caught the eye of major media execs, as almost every broadcast network adopted the format for their recent respective upfronts presentations in New York City.
Here’s the official “Hamilton” description — in case any CG readers have been living under a rock or forgot to pay the cable bill for a year:
Lin-Manuel Miranda takes the stage as the unlikely founding father determined to make his mark on the new nation as hungry and ambitious as he is. From bastard orphan to Washington’s right hand man, rebel to war hero, a loving husband caught in the country’s first sex scandal, to the Treasury head who made an untrusting world believe in the American economy. George Washington, Eliza Hamilton, Thomas Jefferson and Miranda’s Alexander Hamilton’s lifelong friend/foil Aaron Burr all make their mark in this astonishing new musical exploration of a political mastermind.
