Actor Michael Jace , best known for his work on “The Shield“, has been convicted of 2nd degree murder for his wife’s death.
A Los Angeles jury found Jace guilty of shooting and killing April Jace in 2014. Over the course of the extensive murder trial, the jury heard a transcript of Jace’s interview with police, in the damning interview Jace confessed that he only intended to shoot April in the leg while they were arguing about their pending divorce.
Prosecutors proved that Michael Jace subsequently shot April Jace twice in her leg and once in her back, all while their two young sons slept.
The victim’s parent rang police to report the killing, confirming that Michael Jace had called them and confessed his sins.
His sentencing is scheduled for June 10, Jace is facing 40 years to life in prison.
