He may have dropped dead from cancer five months ago, but the turbulent legacy of Toronto’s former crack-smoking mayor continues to grow from beyond the grave.
A new video has emerged…actually it’s from 2013, but it’s new to us all that were outside of Rob Ford‘s inner crack smoking circle, and it’s equal parts sad and mesmerizing.

It seems important to note that Ford didn’t realize he was being recorded until the very end of the video, so there’s a raw candor about the whole thing, it’s 100 percent filter free…and from a man that never truly had much of a self filter to begin with.
It may come across as a cheap shot to posthumously release a video of a man in the throes of self destruction, but the private video actually came to light because of a Canadian court of law…
The video was used as an exhibit in the extortion trial of Rob’s friend, Sandro Lisi,who was charged with trying to extort a gang member to get this very clip.
The court had ordered the video to stay private while the case was underway — but on Thursday, the extortion charge against Lisi was dropped and the video was made public.
Ford admitted to smoking crack during his time as mayor, but vehemently denied that he struggled with any addiction.
Alas, Ford succumb to an unexpected bout of cancer that quickly ravaged his body and sent him to an untimely death…speculation suggests that his poor life style contributed to the onset of the disease.
Oh, Canada…
