Modern Family’s Sofia Vergara has filed a lawsuit against the beauty company Venus Concept for using a photo of her without permission.
According to TMZ, the Colombian star filed action against the beauty company for promoting their services with one of her Instagram photos.
The actress had a skin tightening massage done by Venus in August 2014 in preparation for the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards and shared a picture of the procedure on the photo sharing app.
The shot may have gotten almost 40,000 likes but Vergara said she didn’t enjoy the treatment. In latest court papers it states that “Vergara would not use it again, and certainly would not endorse it nor agree to appear in an international advertisement campaign to promote it,” and in conclusion, she “does not recommend the Venus Legacy product or services.”
The 43-year-old is now demanding the company to remove her images and pay up at least $15 million.
