[VIDEO] Big Winners of 2016 Academy of Country Music Awards

Guess who bagged the bacon for this year’s ACM Awards!

Charles Stapleton is definitely making a mark in the country music industry. The 37-year old singer and song writer bagged four of the major awards in this year’s Academy of Country Music Awards! Stapleton won male vocalist, new male vocalist, song of the year for “Nobody to Blame” and album of the year. Because of this, co-winner Kimberly Schlapman of Little Big Town jokingly commented, “Thank you for Chris Stapleton for not being a group,” when they come up on stage and received Vocal Group of the Year award.

On the other hand, Jason Aldean, Entertainer of the year, was quite emotional about his achievement. In an interview, he said that,

“I was just starting to think this one just wasn’t in the cards for me,” Aldean said on stage in a rare moment of vulnerability. “I’ll tell you what, I may be rough around the edges a little bit – but I love this business. I love the people in it and I love the fans that support it. Thank you very, very much.”
