Is it too late now to say sorry? Well, it looks like it! Justin Bieber is being sued by a promotional company in his native Canada that claims the pop star destroyed their reputation in one tweet.
Talk about a powerful tweet…
Team Productions inked a deal with Bieber for an appearance at the posh Canadian resort known as the Beach Club back in August of 2015. However, that event didn’t happen, Bieber was a no show, and now Team Productions is crying foul…they understandably want their money back.

Bieber was supposed to do a number of songs in that event. He was already paid $250,000 up front the moment the deal was made, and he was also given $175,000 as an act of goodwill just prior to the scheduled event.
But, Bieber didn’t do his part, he failed to honor his agreement, and now Team Productions is seeking retribution. Part of the contract included Bieber hyping or promoting the event on his social media accounts, which he didn’t do.
Team Productions initially wanted a discount since Bieber didn’t plug the event beforehand, but Bieber wouldn’t have it. Instead, he demanded the rest of the pay or he won’t show up in the gig at all.
Negotiations quickly broke down from there, the deal was a bust and that led Bieber to angrily tweet that the promoter had lied and that the planned event was a no go.
The tweet read, “’Montreal due to the promoter of today’s event breaking his contract and lying I will not be able to attend today’s event.”
“I look forward to coming back to Montreal in the future to do a proper show but I will not be able to attend 2day due to this breach.”
With just one tweet, it was shots fired, and Team Production’s reputation was left hung out to dry. Even the Beach Club told TMZ that they had to construct a $20,000 floating skate ramp just for Bieber’s cameo appearance…
“’We are incredibly disappointed and upset by the lack of professionalism exhibited by Team Productions (the event’s promoter) in violating their contract with Justin Bieber and disappointing the thousands of fans that were going to flock to Beachclub today,” an official response stated on behalf of the Beach Club.
Now, with little choice left, Team Productions is fighting back as no one wants to work with them. They are suing Bieber for $650,000 worth of damages, which includes $500,000 for potential lost earnings, $100,000 for reputation damage and $50,000 for punitive damages.
We just hope Bieber has his check book ready…
