An Italian paramedic who was among the first on the scene as James Gandolfini lay dying in Rome, allegedly stole his $3,000 Rolex watch as the actor was writhing in his death throes.
Gandolfini died suddenly in June of 2013 while vacationing in the land of his ancestors, the coroner report ruled his death from catastrophic heart failure.
But three years later, justice awaits paramedic Claudio Bevilacqua, who is set to stand trial in Rome later this year. Details are not concrete, and it is not yet known if Claudio allegedly stole the Rolex right off the ‘Sopranos’ star’s lifeless body, or if it was pinched from his hotel room after the fact.

Gandolfini’s entourage reported the Rolex was missing to his insurance company back in 2013, a few months after he died in Rome. At the time, no suspect was accused of theft.
After a brief hearing this past Monday, the Italian judge postponed the start of Bevilacqua’s trial until November…he best be on time too…especially if he has that fancy watch…
