Is a celebrity feud brewing?
Superstar Brad Pitt inexplicably chose to drag fellow Hollywood icon Mel Gibson through the mud in a recent interview, comparing the celebrated director’s 2004 Biblical epic “The Passion of the Christ” to Scientology looney-tune L. Ron Hubbard‘s propaganda.
The fact these three names are in the same sentence is newsworthy in and of itself…
Digging a hole even deeper for himself, Pitt expressed anti-Christian sentiments, and a desire to make a film that would offend evangelicals…
Brad mentioned that he wants to do a movie about Pontius Pilate noting that it “won’t be for the ‘Passion’ crowd.”…because who doesn’t want to see a movie that makes the guy that ordered Jesus to be executed into a hero…
Suffice to say, it’s doubtful that Brad and Mel will be working together anytime soon. Mel’s not worried, he’s got his directorial comeback in the bag with the upcoming “Hacksaw Ridge”, and possible Oscar gold may follow…maybe if Mel wins he can turn to Brad, wink, and thank Jesus as he struts away with his Academy Award…
