The latest chapter of the Brangelina divorce saga sees the former celebrity power couple unraveling in new ways with each passing day.
An airtight prenup has protected the fortunes and assets of both mega-stars, but something not negotiated at the beginning of their failing union was the custodial fate of their six mostly imported children.
Sources close to the couple inform the media that their prenuptial agreement is ironclad and details the specifics of their combined fortune…which is an estimated $400 million.
The parting duo have 12 properties in both their names, most of which were purchased before Angelina Jolie homewrecked Brad Pitt away from Jennifer Aniston.
Brad reportedly possesses 7 properties to his name, Angelina has 2, and the couple bought 3 in tandem.
Exactly whose money was shelled out to buy those three properties isn’t clear….that’s apparently for the prenup to figure out.
Among the assets about to be divided are a vineyard in the South of France, a mansion in a historic neighborhood in old New Orleans, and a lavish New York City penthouse.
The real hangup in this pending split isn’t materialism, the prenup has that covered, it’s that private orphanage of children the two have collected over the years…and Angelina doesn’t want Brad to have any custody rights whatsoever.
This looks to be an expensive and drawn out affair, as Brad grapples with allegations of adultery, drug use, and even child abuse…and he’s lawyered up to combat it all the best he can.
The stakes are high, Brad Pitt could find himself firewalled from his kids until they’re grown up on their own and out from under the parental thumb of their adopted mother.
Which all means he might be forced to impregnate some other women if he wants any shot at playing catch with a kid in the future.
