The entertainment community was stunned to learn that Garry Shandling suffered a fatal heart attack before Easter weekend.
The comedy icon had been the professional hero for a small army of modern comedians, all who were eager to give tribute to their lost friend.

The 66 year old actor was renowned for a style all his own, and is credited for trailblazing the way for fellow legends such as Jerry Seinfeld. Ominously enough, only two months prior to his untimely death, Shandling had guest starred on Seinfeld’s hit web series “Comedians in Cars with Coffee”, where the two comedians showed the depths of their friendship in intimate fashion.
Shandling had lived a low key life in recent years, opting out of the public eye in semi-retirement. His sudden death was a horrific shock to those that knew him, as he had been in fine spirits and good health the morning of his death.
In fact, his death was so surprising that the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office has refused to sign his death certificate until further investigation into the cause of death can be determined.
The cause of the apparent fatal heart attack is yet to be understood and inquiries are expected to be made about the medical records of the late comedy star.
