In what could prove to be an extreme betrayal of confidentiality, George H.W Bush has allegedly been outed as a Hillary Clinton supporter in the upcoming election.
The 92-year-old former president allegedly confided who he’s going to vote for with Kathleen Hartington Kennedy Townsend, the former Maryland lieutenant governor and daughter of the late Robert F. Kennedy, who’s brother was of course the famous president, JFK, renowned for his adulterous affairs and exploding head.
On Monday, Townsend posted a picture on her Facebook page shaking hands next to the former president and this caption: “The President told me he’s voting for Hillary!!”
The air head undoubtedly breached a sense of privacy with the elder Bush by doing so, because his reps have refused to comment on Townsend’s allegation of how he intends to vote in November.
In a telephone interview, Townsend claims she met with the former president in Maine early on Monday, where she said Bush made his preference known that he was voting for a Democrat. “That’s what he said,” she told POLITICO.
George H.W. Bush and former First Lady Barbara Bush have stayed out of the political debate since campaigning earlier this year for their son Jeb’s unsuccessful bid for the GOP nomination. Neither George H.W. Bush nor his son, former President George W. Bush, attended this summer’s Republican National Convention in Cleveland where Donald Trump accepted the nomination.
If the elder Bush cast his vote for Hillary it would be a remarkable event in light of the fact that he was ousted from office in 1992 by her husband, Bill Clinton.
