Ex- spouses Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt are facing rumors of a future reunion, despite her current marriage to husband Justin Theroux.
Rumors of the former celebrity power couple have been raging ever since Brangelina went the way of the do do.
Earlier this month, Pitt was said to be desperate to reunite with Jennifer Aniston, who was rumored to have texted the 52-year-old actor after news of his divorce was confirmed.
According to a report by OK! Magazine, via Hollywood Life, Pitt “worked up the courage” to call Jennifer Aniston after receiving her text, and while they were on the phone, they made plans to meet at Pitt’s beach house in Goleta, California.
“It’s the perfect spot because it’s far away from prying eyes,” the magazine’s insider said of the location, adding that Jennifer Aniston considered the home to be a “romantic getaway” for herself and Pitt when they were married.
Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt were married from 2000 to 2005 when Aniston filed for divorce amid rumors of an on-set affair between Pitt and his now-estranged wife, Angelina Jolie. Before the filing, Aniston and Pitt were considered to be one of Hollywood’s rare marital success stories.
Then, after Aniston’s filing, Jolie was labeled a home wrecker and husband stealer while the majority of fans sympathized with Aniston.
The magazine’s insider claimed that while Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt reportedly had plans to reunite, their meeting wasn’t anything romantic. Instead, alleged the source, Pitt simply wanted a chance to spend time with someone he “deeply respects” during what has become a difficult moment in his life.
Whether or not Jennifer’s present husband will find this kosher remains to be seen, if Brad and Aniston end up rendezvousing at all.
