Jimmy Kimmel made sure his turn as MC of the 68th Annual Emmy Awards was not a dull affair.
In fact, it was probably the first hosting experience tailor made to create viral clips on social media after the fact….the collective viewership of his antics will likely have greater viewership across Youtube and Snapchat than was received via a live television audience.
Among the highlights of the evening was Jimmy’s mischievous attempt to convince the celebrity laden Emmy audience that disgraced comedian Bill Cosby, once a beloved television icon, was about to take the stage.
And the prank worked to near perfection, soliciting looks of shock and horror from a number of A-list Hollywood stars.

Jimmy promptly took the stage to let the dazed and confused crowd know that he was pulling a fast one, but not before cameras captured a priceless expression of sheer horror upon the face of Tina Fey.
Later on Kimmel’s fake tv nemesis, Matt Damon, took the time to rub it in after Jimmy failed to win an Emmy for his late night comedy show.
All of this of course transpired AFTER Jimmy had his mother allegedly hand make thousands of PB&J sandwiches to distribute to the ravenous crowd.
We just hope nobody had nut allergies…
