Johnny Manziel is deep in the midst of a personal meltdown that would make even a Kardashian blush.
But he and a friend received a sliver of good news about a pending hit and run investigation that had the pair mired in scandal for allegedly fleeing the scene of an accident.
It’s a bit of dumb luck that the two won’t face any charges however, because they haven’t been cleared as innocent, charges have simply not been pursued due to “insufficient evidence”… saving the party duo from the court of public opinion…but not our scorn.
The incident in question occurred last month, when a Mercedes SUV carrying the disgraced football star crashed into a light pole on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood, but when police arrived the driver had high tailed it out of sight.
Witnesses claim the driver that fled the scene was Manziel’s friend, Ryan Silverstein, but Manziel was not forthcoming in ratting out his party animal companion, making it perhaps the first time in his debauched life that he actually kept his mouth shut and didn’t incriminate himself or anyone else.
