The comedian apparently feels compelled to stop taking photos with fans after a South Carolina man demanded a picture with her.
What started out as an innocent enough request soon escalated into a social media fiasco.
Amy Schumer explained her position on the interwebs:
“I asked him to stop and he said ‘no it’s America and we paid for you,'” Schumer said on Instagram. “I will not take pictures with people anymore and it’s because of this dude in Greenville.”
It’s hard to feel too terribly for the likes of the loud mouthed comic, a zealous fan recognized her and started filming, if that’s the greatest burden of her day she’s living a far more charmed life than anyone ever realized…and she’s the second cousin of a United States Senator for crying out loud.

In the interim, if you’re an Amy Schumer fan and you spot her in public, tread with caution, you might spook her…
But in an era of “micro aggressions” and “safe spaces” it was only a matter of time before a celebrity attempted to co-opt the movement to deal with the fishbowl realities of fame.
We’re crying crocodile tears for Amy, how dare she get adoring attention…
