Is nothing sacred?
Seems as though Millennial and Generation X childhoods are being violated like a Woody Allen step child these days.
The recent sin against the memories of yesteryear comes in the form of a revamping of the iconic ‘Ghostbusters’ theme made popular in 1984 by Ray Parker Jr. (by way of plagiarizing Huey Lewis, but I digress).
One of the perpetrators of this atrocity to music is none other than Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz, who dared to share out loud his monstrous ambitions:
@Popjustice crossed one off the kid dream bucket list by covering Ray Parker theme with missy Elliot verse 😁

Note to Wentz, kids dream and say stupid stuff as kids…doesn’t mean they follow through with it as adults.
For instance, every daughter wants to marry their daddy while they’re in their toddler princess phase, yet America doesn’t have an explosive incest epidemic breaking out (maybe in Appalachia) because people don’t act on the crap we unintelligibly say in between sips from a juice box twenty years after the fact…
As for Missy Elliott, she’s been implemented in this fiasco as well by Wentz’s tweet…all we can say is we hope the payout was a big one for this Faustian bargain…
For the sake of everyone’s well being, reminisce about the ORIGINAL and awesome ‘Ghostbusters’ theme before our collective childhoods are defiled by this summer’s coming offering…
