Porn starlet Amber Rayne was discovered dead in her home at the age of 31.
The adult film star veteran, who has been active in the pornography industry for a decade, is believed to have died in her sleep alone at her Los Angeles home.
Her exact cause of death remains unknown at this time, Rayne is believed to have died on Saturday night or Sunday morning. Rumors are flying of suspicious things being afoot, and whether the untimely death was drug related, natural causes, or even foul play remains to be determined by the county coroner.
Adding controversy to this unexpected death is the fact that Rayne was one of 10 women to have accused fellow porn star James Deen of sexually assaulting them while on set.
The x-rated film starlet claimed that Deen had called her derogatory names while filming a sex scene before he allegedly punched her in the face repeatedly and began having sex with her in an allegedly violent manner that left her bleeding.
Deen has been adamantly denying any wrongdoing , and has gone on the record to say: “All of the accusations are from either ex-girlfriends or events that happened on set.”
A Detroit native, Amber headed to Los Angeles to pursue acting dreams, earning a BA in Theater Arts and a Minor in Art History from California State University-Los Angeles.
But mainstream success defied her grasp, and in 2005 Rayne began to perform in porn films during her early twenties, earning awards for her “performances”.
For now her death is shrouded in rumor and mystery, the stuff that celebrity gossip is ultimately made of, and we won’t leave this story alone until we find out for sure the circumstances that took her life.
