Captain Kirk is being sued for a whopping sum of $170 million by a Florida-based radio host who claims that the Star Trek actor is his biological father.
Peter Sloan, who now goes by the name Peter Shatner, says the actor had an affair with his birth mother, Katherine Burt, back in 1956.

Sloan, 59, was put up for adoption shortly after his birth. But in 1984, he started seeking his birth parents and tracked down the people he believed to be his mother and father.
And over the months that followed through a process of intensive research, the little orphan that could was able to identify his birth father as Canadian born actor William Shatner…at least that’s Peter’s claim on his website.
The paternity lawsuit goes so far as to claim that Sloan even met Shatner in November of 1984 on the set of his hit TV series “T.J. Hooker.” During this alleged meeting, the lawsuit states, Shatner openly “admitted” he was Sloan’s real father, but when Sloan attempted to follow up with dear old dad with a phone call days later, Shatner “became agitated and hung-up the phone.”
Sloan seems to think this perceived slight can be remedied by some old fashioned cash, and is seeking $30 million in compensatory damages, $90 million in punitive damages and $50 million for pain and suffering. He is also demanding a jury trial, guaranteeing a full blown fiasco and three ring circus.
Shatner denies that Sloan is his actual son, in other words claiming his mother was certainly not the final frontier and that many a man had been there before…
