Tyra Banks is now a brand – new mom! Hurrah!
On Wednesday evening, Tyra Banks revealed this very good news to her followers. The supermodel’s family just got bigger with a cute addition, with the help from a surrogate.
“The best present we worked and prayed so hard for is finally here. He’s got my fingers and big eyes and his daddy Erik’s mouth and chin. As we thank the angel of a woman that carried our miracle baby boy for us, we pray for everyone who struggles to reach this joyous milestone. York Banks Asla, welcome to the world.“

The news comes after for the businesswoman talked openly about her fertility challenges. After Chrissy Teigen opened up about her obstacles in getting pregnant, Tyra decided to also share her own personal struggles in her former program, FABLife.
“I want to co-sign what Chrissy is saying and say ‘You have no idea what people are going through,’” she said on the former season of the daytime talk show before fighting back tears. “Why am I crying? You just have no idea what people are going through, so when you ask Chrissy [why don’t you have kids] or me that or anybody that, it is none of your frigging business, okay?“
“And for any women, it is none of your business what somebody is going through,” added the former model. “Whether they want to have a child or don’t ever want to have a child or may have a child on the way, it’s none of your business, okay? Until somebody wants to make it your business.“
Tyra later admitted on the show that she was undergoing IVF treatments before reiterating how important it was for women to support each other. Today, Tyra is feeling extra grateful for all that’s coming her way, and for the life around her. Her boyfriend’s support was one to be counted on, in struggles or milestones.
“Everyone deserves to be loved like this,” she wrote on Instagram during the holiday season after posing with her beau.
