Could this be the answer to Prince’s mysterious death? Back in June, the autopsy report for Prince’s death resulted to an accidental fentanyl overdose. However, investigators couldn’t find evidence that Prince actually took pills with fentanyl in them. But now, investigators caught a break in the case as they found counterfeit drugs that contained fentanyl at Prince’s actual estate.
An anonymous official in the case spoke to Associated Press regarding this latest development. While the 57-year-old music icon didn’t have any prescription drugs for any controlled substances, dating back to a year, the investigators found at least a dozen black-marketed counterfeit drugs in Paisley Park. According to the official, the potency of fentanyl is best described as a “synthetic opioid 50 times more powerful than heroin.”
The question now is, where did these counterfeit drugs come from? There is still no lead here but one thing is for sure, Prince had dozens of counterfeit tablets…and apparently a dealer.
Aside from the Aleve bottled labeled as “Watson 385,” there is another bottle that’s supposed to store Aspirin, but instead, had over 60 counterfeit tablets stashed within it.
Moreover, these counterfeit pills didn’t just contain the deadly fentanyl, it also had lidocaine and U-4770, a drug described to be “eight times more powerful than morphine.”
Prince’s doctor Michael Todd Schulenberg said that he met with Prince the day before he died. He had ordered tests for Prince and at the end of the session, and he gave Prince prescribed medications. However, due to patient confidentiality, Dr. Schulenberg cannot disclose what these medicines are but he insists that none contained the deadly dose of fentanyl.
