The USOC just dropped the hammer down hard on Ryan Lochte and his full punishment includes a ban from the next swimming National Championships meet … which could put his already perilous swim career in some serious jeopardy.
There may not be a comeback on the horizon after this…
Lochte is also banned from visiting the White House with the rest of Team USA Olympians…apparently politicians want to pretend they have standards all of the sudden.
Lochte will also be banned from swim meets for 10 crucial months, and the USOC just released the full list of punishments he’s going to have to endure.
He has to return the money he was awarded for winning a gold medal at the games … perform 20 hours of community service and he will be barred from accessing U.S. Olympic training centers.
When all is said and done this could absolutely CRUSH the 32-year-old Lochte’s hopes to compete in the 2020 Olympics in Japan.
The other swimmers involved in the Rio incident — Gunnar Bentz, Jack Conger and James Feigen — got 4 month suspensions … and will also be banned from the White House visit….but are no where near the social pariah’s Ryan Lochte will prove himself to be for the foreseeable future.
