Adele Talks About Her “Purpose”, Time Away From Spotlight and Weight Loss in Vogue
Adele is a changed woman, armed with a new outlook on life.
After having some time off from the spotlight to be with her son, Angelo, and put a pause on her music for a while, she has known who she is, what she loves about herself and what she realizes as her “purpose” in life.
The award – winning songstress covers the March 2016 issue of Vogue magazine, talking about how she had just the “right amount of time” off for people to miss her and to have her personal growth.
“I like myself more than ever,” she tells. “I feel so comfortable in my own skin. I really like how I look, I like who I am, I like everyone that I surround myself with.“

In fact, in a very candid Adele way, she jokes about her “bum chin” and her “sausage fingers,” but she says she never lets any of her insecurities hold her back any more— she credits her son for this new found confidence.
“Angelo makes me very proud of myself,” she explains. “When I became a parent, I felt like I was truly living. I had a purpose, where before I didn’t.“
Despite her huge worldwide success and fame, her son comes before anything else.

On her fear of raising a child in the spotlight she shares:
“We need to have some privacy, I think it’s really hard being a famous person’s child. What if he wants to smoke weed or drink underage, or what if he’s gay and doesn’t want to tell me, and then he’s photographed and that’s how I find out?“
She has also set her priorities straight:
“My main thing is Mum, then it’s me, then it’s work.“
At this time, she’s also exerting efforts to put some work into her health, so she can be the best mother and performer she can be. This quitting smoking, staying away from certain foods and limiting her alcohol intake.
“I was trying to get some stamina for my tour,” she says, “so I lost a bit of weight. Now I fit into normal, off-the-shelf clothes—which is a really big problem for me!” she jests, adding how she’s now obsessed with shopping.
Indeed, she had us way before ‘Hello’ hit the charts. Keep slaying, Adele.
