Tempers and gossip are flaring up around Larry Wilmore‘s controversial performance at the White House Correspondence Dinner, which culminated in the Comedy Central comedian calling President Obama “My N*gga”.
People are aghast by the use of such an offensive racial slur, even in jest, especially in reference to the President of the United States to his face.
Whatever humor may have existed in Larry Wilmore’s set has been overshadowed by his use of language that has been condemned as anything from inappropriate to distasteful by a wide array of pundits as well as the audience members present at the dropping of the “N bomb”.
Jaws dropped to the floor the minute the comic chose to close out his performance with a hoodrat’s sense of decorum.
