Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie aren’t getting divorced…at least, not yet…
Walking back the very public rumors that their marriage is on the rocks, the celebrity power couple are apparently bound and determined to try and save what’s left of their romance.
The pair recently celebrated their two year wedding anniversary, a milestone for Tinseltown, a place where marriages can dissolve in mere months if the parties involved have wandering eyes.
Earlier this year, publications began sharing reports claiming Angelina Jolie’s husband was back in touch with his ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston, who was also experiencing marital troubles. However, just as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have not divorced, Aniston and her husband, Justin Theroux, remain married and appear to be perfectly happy with one another.
When Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie fell in love on the set of 2005’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith, the 52-year-old actor was married to Aniston. Then, amid rumors of an on-set affair between the couple, Aniston filed for divorce…which in and of itself has always been a reason for Jolie to watch her back…because as a homewrecker herself, what goes around tends to come around…
Still, reports indicate that Brad Pitt’s traditionalist roots have a stronger hold over him than he publicly cares to admit, and his Oklahoma upbringing has instilled in him a deep want to keep a family together.
“Despite their busy schedules, Brad and Angie have recommitted themselves to each other and are actually more in love than ever,” a source revealed to Hollywood Life on August 23. “Family time is a huge priority for them, so they make sure to spend quality time with one another alone, and with the kids.”
Time will tell if the aging stars can keep their union intact, either because they’re truly committed to their matrimony or because the ravages of time will make it impossible for them to keep trading up for younger models for very much longer…
