Ex-Couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner Stay Friendly For The Kids
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Jennifer Garner revealed that seeing their children’s reaction to the couple’s breakup, tore her up. The actress and Ben Affleck then decided to stay in each other’s lives, even not as husband and wife, for the sake of their kids- Violet, Seraphina and Samuel.
“…I lost the dream of dancing with my husband at my daughter’s wedding but you should see their faces when he walked through the door. And If you see your kids love someone so purely and wholly, then you’re going to be friends with that person.”
The actress also stressed the point that the nanny, who had been rumored to be the reason for their divorce, had nothing to do with the demise of their relationship.
“Let me just tell you something,” Garner says. “We had been separated for months before I ever heard about the nanny. She had nothing to do with our decision to divorce. She was not a part of the equation. Bad judgment? Yes. It’s not great for your kids for [a nanny] to disappear from their lives.”
Although, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are friendly with each other again, the actress emphasized that she does not have any plans on getting back together with him in the near future.
Married for nine years, this Hollywood couple, whom we thought had a powerful marriage, decided to call it quits but remain civil for the sake of their loved ones. And we are happy to see they’ve been such adults about it.
