Who runs the world? Beyoncé…so says Forbes at least.
The Queen B was just named to Fortune’s list of Most Powerful Women at No. 51 — making her the only celebrity on the list dominated by CEO’s and corporation presidents…that’s high praise on this list of who’s who.
While the “Run the World” singer is widely known for her chart-topping hits — which just made her the first female artist to have 12 songs on the Billboard top 100 — she is also a successful entrepreneur making waves in the business world…and truly beginning to run it…

It’s worth noting that this year alone, Beyoncé launched her own apparel line, Ivy Park and also teamed up with the watermelon water startup, WTRMLN WTR. Once upon a time she even tried her hand in the fashion industry when working on the contemporary women’s fashion line House of Deréon alongside her mother back in 2005.
In 2007, the Grammy-winning songstress launched her own entertainment and management company Parkwood Entertainment, which expanded into a music label this year.
Fortune’s latest list is dominated by woman running Fortune 500 companies, with many of their titles listed as Chairman, President and SVP — but bonus pick Beyoncé is listed simply as, “Queen Bee”, and her hive is surely buzzing…
