Donald Trump‘s sniffling on debate night attracted plenty of attention and jokes on social media – and led Late Show host Stephen Colbert to joke: ‘He sounds like he was fighting off a cold… of cocaine.’
Colbert wasn’t alone with the cocaine jab, however, as form Vermont Governor Howard Dean, best known for the sound bite of his hilarious scream that torpedoed his presidential aspirations back in 2004, made similarly eyebrow raising accusations.

The Republican nominee sniffled very loudly throughout much of the first presidential debate on Monday.
The hashtag #sniffle quickly become popular on Twitter, with some comparing it to Al Gore’s sighing from the 2000 presidential debate…but with none of the post debate fallout, as trump surged in most snap polls.
And the Late Show’s Twitter accounted posted: ‘Trump either has a coke problem or a mild allergy to women who don’t flinch when he interrupts them.’

The Daily Show also noted Trump’s sniffling, tweeting: ‘We’re *sniff* going *sniff* LIVE *sniff* at 11/10c! #sniff.’
