Bootylicious Jennifer Lopez is back in the market after sources confirmed that she has split from boyfriend Casper Smart. The split was apparently amicable and they will continue to remain “friends”…
JLo and Casper started dating back in 2011, which started out as a fling. But the former couple hit it off so well that they decided to stay in the relationship long term…at least by the thrice married JLo’s standards. It wasn’t the perfect relationship; the couple went through an on again off again romance. And now, finally, JLo and Casper decided to go their separate ways (JLo’s romantic shelf life expires every few years).
According to a source for PEOPLE, “Jennifer and Casper have split. They have not been together for a few weeks.”
The source added, “It wasn’t anything dramatic and they were on good terms – it just came to a natural end. They will remain friends and they see each other, but they are not together. It was very amiable.”
This news came as a shock since JLo and Casper were seen last on August 13 gallivanting with her ex-husband Marc Anthony and his wife Shannon de Lima. They all looked like they were having a wonderful time after her show at Caesar’s Palace.
Something tells us though, that the foursome will still remain Vegas pals going forward. For one, JLo is still friends with Marc, which is an awesome thing for the kids. Another is that seeing Casper and Marc friendly with each other just shows that the kids are the priority.
As JLo told PEOPLE back in March 2016, “My relationship with them – our references are always in reference to the kids. What’s best for them, what’s good for them, let’s talk this way in front of them… Once they’re happy, they just add happiness and joy into the home and then everything else kind of goes from there.”
