LeBron James Suits Up For ‘Space Jam 2’

A long awaited sequel to the 1996 family adventure that starred Michael Jordan, Bugs Bunny, and funnyman Bill Murray is finally slated to happen!

And NBA star LeBron James has signed on to assume the starring role.

Director Jeremy Lin, best known for ‘Fast & the Furious 6‘, has been brought on to put the ball in play.

The original ‘Space Jam’, which earned over $230.4 million worldwide, featured Michael Jordan teaming up with a collection of Looney Tunes characters to play a game of basketball against aliens threatening to enslave them and to steal all the basketball abilities of Earth’s best players.

This movie will presumably follow a similar plot line…if it ain’t broke Hollywood don’t fix it…but they will reboot it.

So if you love the original, and don’t mind seeing a lazily conceived nostalgic rehash, then put on your jerseys, because some intergalactic hoops await you in theaters everywhere some time in 2017!

Yay or nay to a sequel? Should ‘Space Jam’ be left in the 90s or rebooted for a new generation? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
