After several months of speculation, Liam Hemsworth is finally speaking out about his highly publicized rekindled relationship with Miley Cyrus.
In a new interview with TV Week in his native Australia, the Aussie heartthrob lay down the law, “I am not engaged, no.”
But his outburst really didn’t explain away the ring his main squeeze has been sporting (again) lately.
Miley Cyrus and Liam first started dating back in 2010 and even announced their engagement in 2012. But the superstar pair called off their wedding plans and went their separate ways within a year.
Speculation and photos surfaced earlier this year, that Miley had moved into Liam’s Malibu home, after the pair were spotted spending New Years Eve together back in Austraila. The former “Hannah Montana” starlet has even been pictured wearing the same diamond sparkler that her leading man gave her back when he first proposed almost three years ago.
Until now, the two have kept very quiet about the relationship and a low profile.
“I just don’t leave my home for the last few months because I had a back injury I really couldn’t do much,” Liam added of how he’s avoided the spotlight recently. “So I have honestly been at my house most of the time.”
Seems a good cover story for now, I’m sure someone believes him…but he’s going to have to put on an Oscar worthy performance before we do.
