On Set Drama Threatens Production of ‘Fast & Furious’ As Cast Bickers

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has caused quite a stir on social media as of late.

And his male co-stars from the set of Fast 8 are all pissed off at him for calling some of them out as ‘candy ass divas’ … and frankly, that hurts their feelings…

Sources on set indicate that they all think his tirade is all about his own overblown ego, an absurd public deflection of the on-set drama he in part instigates.

And they’re none too appreciative of being thrown through the gossip rumor mill by Johnson’s tirade.

The Rock went off on social media this past Monday, pulling no punches as he exclaimed “My female co-stars are always amazing and I love ’em. My male co-stars however are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chicken s*** to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses.”

This is my final week of shooting #FastAndFurious8. There’s no other franchise that gets my blood boiling more than this one. An incredible hard working crew. UNIVERSAL has been great partners as well. My female co-stars are always amazing and I love ’em. My male co-stars however are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chicken shit to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling – you’re right. Bottom line is it’ll play great for the movie and fits this Hobbs character that’s embedded in my DNA extremely well. The producer in me is happy about this part😉. Final week on FAST 8 and I’ll finish strong. #IcemanCometh #F8 #ZeroToleranceForCandyAsses

Male co-stars think Rock was out of line to talk crap, but given that he did they think it’s unforgivable he wasn’t specific because now they’re all suspects facing rumor and insinuation from media scrutiny.

Leaks from the set indicate that many of his co-stars are especially upset because filming wraps in a week and a half and, as one put it, “This is a hell of a way to end it.”

An acrimonious wrap to the production leaves a bitter taste in the mouth for many, an unpleasant way to potentially end a film series.

The production has been plagued by various conflicts because of “extreme egos” among most of the top actors, with the help of their agents and lawyers to fan the flames.

But we’re told none of the actors, even the supposed divas, felt the public criticism was appropriate or good for set morale.

Speculation that the void left by Paul Walker‘s death has created friction between veteran cast members and newcomers.

The truth could come out sooner than later, as sources hint that news may be dropped via social media that explains this whole sordid situation in better detail.

Looks like it is getting both fast and furious on that movie set…
